My aunt has been dating this guy who's rather...too young for her. She's 47 and he's 21 and they seem to really enjoy each other's company. It's funny, because our family knows about the realtionship but the guy's family doesn't.

Anyway, I'm curious what you guys think. Would you guys/girls feel uncomfortable if you dated someone that's too young for you...or too old? Is age really just a number?

i dont think that that should matter that much, its not like shes 70 and hes 20, that would probably be different.

btw, usually its the other way around, quite unique

Why is it okay for an older man to date a younger woman, but if it's a older woman dating a younger man it's suddenly frowned upon?

This'll probably sound bad but what 21 year old guy wants 50 year old pussy? I know I don't. I think there's nothing wrong with it at all, but I don't see why this guy isn't bothering with people his own age and instead is going with people over double his age. Seems kinda weird to me.

it's not so much as frowned upon, as just odd. An older guy wants to try and relive his youth. While the younger women wants the more mature man who usually has money. While that relationship can last and possibly turn into something like marriage. I don't see the older women, younger man being the same.

I dont believe age shouldnt be a problem...but lets be realistic theres some fucked up people out there who are like 20 and date 14 yr olds....there still kids for crying out loud

My girlfriend is just about to turn 24....

I'm 17.

The only complication is our relationship is peoples (her families) opinion on her dating someone my age.

However, when things get more serious there is the complication of the two people being in completely different parts of their lives, and probably wanting different things in their lives.

i turned 19 in november and my girlfriend will be 17 in march, we dated when i was a senior and she was a sophomore in high school now im a freshman in college and she is a junior in high school, its a little different now but its not really a problem

but it has crossed my mind when im 21 and she is 19, how weird is it going to be...but yeah 21/47 is a big gap..i dunno ??

Oh I don't deny that. I'm just saying you're 20 years into life and in 20 years she'll probably be dead. I do believe that age is just a number! I used to date a 23yr old guy when I was 15, then I dated a 15yr old when I was 17 going on 18. It all depends on how well ppl connect w/ each other, fuck the numbers!!

Wow, I'm 20 and I cannot for the life of me imagine having any common interests with a 47 year old woman. Tupperware parties, floral patterned gowns, watching figureskating... this guy must laaaame.
