Will 16 get me 20?
I was like 10 minutes from hooking up with this chick at a party when my friend warned me that she was 14 so I backed off. Turns out he was mistaken and she's 16.
She texted me recently tellin me she's crushing on me and stuff.
Should I leave it alone or go for it? I don't wanna jail or nothin lol. I know the chances are slim to none, but even if it's not gonna, is it weird? She's about to be 17 next month.

If the attraction is mutual and you are both of the right mind state, age shouldn't be a concern, within the your age 1/2ed + 7 rule...That said parental interference may come into play, so test the waters first by doing some recon...If all is chill there shouldn't be any reason why you should give a fuck...

In some states can`t you marry a 14 yr old? Or have they changed that?
Looks like in some places they need to look into raising the age of consent

well........
I have two friends, both were 26 at the time. They somehow met a couple of cute 16 year olds and ended up taking them to their prom. One of my friends was engaged to get married at the time. Fast-forward 3 years, both of my friends are still seeing them, both plan on getting married to the girls. (The one friend that was engaged actually got married, then got a divorce to be with the then 16 year old)
fucked up I guess, but both couples have a very healthy relationship so I say why the fuck not, just be careful...

they got a lotta shit from a lotta people but seems people should have shut their mouths and kept their opinions to themselves because they are happy as fuck now. (I still wouldn't recommend anyone date a girl that young at their age, though..)

I'd ask for proof of her age if I were you. I know it seems like a lamesauce thing to do, but it's probably not a bad idea. I'm pretty sure that saying "I thought she was older than that" doesn't hold up in court. Once you are SURE that she's 16, I think it's safe. You're not even that much older than her, so I don't think you should have any reason to feel like a dirty old man.
