Why is Cannabis Illegal?

I don't mean the bullshit propaganda.
I mean that if one was to completely remove propaganda from the playing field, what valid reason(s) could/do politicians give to justify why cannabis is still illegal? Also aside from money being a factor.

yeah, hugs and the rest of the constant battle between love and hate, and its the haters that made it illegal and keep it that way.

"...there will always be haters, thats just the way it is,
hater niggas marry hater bitches and have hater kids.."

I never actually thought about why its STill illegal..I guess they look at it as if like if it's not broke don't fix it..because to them it's good the way it is now..they prolly just don't want to cause all the anti-marijuana activist going and protesting which is what would probably happen, but there is no "good" reason. i guess.

well seriously, the the answer to this question has already been given in many posts by many people all over this forum. it was first made illegal due to greed and hate and wickedness and ignorance, and it remains illegal for those same reasons today.

Right, but if you were a politician fighting against legalization, you couldn't say that, it'd just make you look like a jackass.

Exclamation

The government has every reason to be terrified of Marijuana.

They significantly lose their ability to control us because it promotes an open and questioning mind.

Even more valuable than money, is power, and power is achieved by controlling the masses.

The last thing they want is for millions of sheep to wake up.

Well put, but there are many other reasons why it is illegal. For example Alcohol lobbyists are paying lots of money to ensure that marijuana stays illegal, because if marijuana became legal how many people would stop drinking and start blazing...alot..why, cause marijuana is 100% safe, unlike alcohol....and thats just one reason.

if marijuana were to suddenly be made legal, thousands of civil servants would be out of jobs. combine their votes with the votes of the masses who have been fed "marijuana is evil" propaganda most of their adult lives, and suddenly politicians aren't getting re elected. most politicians aren't out there to help the people like they say, they're out to enrich their lives with money and power. its human nature.

Cannabis remains illegal to protect the insignificant minority of people who are likey to suffer adverse consequences if they abuse it.

Cannabis remains illegal to protect the already vested interests of corporate profit.

Cannabis remains illegal to protect the (licit) monopoly of alcohol on recreational drug use.

It's already illegal, so it's easier to keep it illegal. That and it does harm to the body so it's hard to come up with enough valid reasons to legalize it.

That's an utterly ridiculous theory. People who choose to burn it cause harm to their body. Marijuana itself only benefits the body.

Don't make me call The Second Law of Thermodynamics. Marijuana harms the body in more ways than the fact it's burned.

cannabis a.k.a marijuana will be legalized in the USA here soon enough, that's how i see it anyways.because there is no reason to keep it illegal and it would be more beneficiary to the USA financially

Acting like it is completely harmless is irresponsible.
