Anyone else think this is weird?

The other day I was hanging out with my friends. Most, if not all of them, sell marijuana. A few, including myself, grow weed. I brought up marijuana legalization. All of them said they didn’t want marijuana to be legal. I was surprised… we all smoke like chimneys and some of us have gotten busted for weed. They said they rather it be illegal because, if it were legal, stores would sell packs of joints. They think the weed would be incredibly cheap and the best you could find. That means they couldn’t sell weed anymore because no one would buy from them. Crazy that anyone who smokes would want it to be illegal. Maybe because I don’t sell that much I think differently. Who else thinks marijuana should stay illegal for the same reason?

if cannibis was legalized, the gov would tax the shit out of us...if it was de-criminalized, personal growers like myself wouldn't have to worry...the people that have 50+ plants in their house are making the personal growers look bad...i grow for me, myself, & I...i don't need to make money with it, why sell the stuff that makes me happy??

Its simple really. Dealers wouldnt want it to be legalized becuase there the ones who make the money. Growers may want it to be legalized because stores would buy from them if the bud wasnt regulated by the gov't. Just regular everyday smokers would want it to be legalized becuase it would be cheaper and legal.

My opinion on legal weed is it's so Iffy, if it were legalized who's not to say they won't add a bunch of chemicals in it to make it addictive like they do with cigarettes and therefore make it worse. I just think it's high time cops stop arresting people for it.

i agree, it would probably be Phillip morris growing the pot with all kinds of bull shit like urea. thats why if it where legal i would be smoking organic buds cause there would most likely be a niche for that in the pot market. gas, alcohol, and tobacco are already heavily taxed. the question is would the tax on pot be more than the black market mark up currently keeping our dope boys well employed.

They can't tax you if you own a micro-brewery or grow your own tobacco, what makes you think they will or even could(physically) tax any growers? It would be an impossible endeavor.

I think marijuana should stay illegal ,as this drives the price/profit up....for those who do sell it.

I think marijuana should stay illegal because if it were legalized ,the government would get involved in the whole process ,and we all know how much the government can fuck up anything they get their hands on.

I think marijuana should be legalized ,because it never should have been incorrectly classified as a narcotic/schedule 1 drug ,and because there is much less harm done to the human body by smoking marijuana than drinking alcohol..

I also think alcohol should be illegal.

Munhall police found thousands of various improvised explosive devices, firearms and marijuana plants inside a Munhall home Friday after responding to a medical alert alarm, according to a police affidavit.
Officers responded to the call at 4118 Harvey St. in Munhall at 4:30 p.m., but could not get an answer from anyone inside the home.

After entering the building, officers noticed "an overwhelming odor of marijuana," states the affidavit of probable cause filed to support criminal charges.

Upon searching further, officers discovered "hanging dried marijuana, potted marijuana plants, along with paraphernalia throughout" the house, it states. In the basement, officers also found "an opened, large shoe box containing a large amount of red cardboard tubes with green fuse(s) sticking out and both ends opened," according to the report.

When they couldn't find anyone in the home, the officers called the Allegheny County Police Bomb Squad and secured the home.


Homeowner Nicholas Borrelli, 62, returned home and was allowed inside. He warned officers that the back room in the basement was "full of explosives," the affidavit states. As Borrelli was arrested, he told police, "I don't even smoke weed, I grow it for her," the affidavit states.

Charges filed against Borrelli include having weapons of mass destruction, causing or risking a catastrophe, criminal conspiracy, possessing prohibited offensive weapons and various drug charges.


After obtaining a search warrant, officers found "various improvised explosive devices (several thousand), materials needed in making improvised explosive devices, suspected marijuana, materials needed in growing marijuana, marijuana plants in pots, scales, several firearms (long guns and handguns), ammunitions," the affidavit states.

i say make it legal to grow own and sell. but leave it in the private sector instead of controlled by the government let the people make the standards. Outlaw mass production so the only stuff sold is from local growers. and that way the market cant be flooded by chemicaly alteRd smoke.

Wow what idiots. Unless their customers are 18+, they could still make great money from it. Have someone 18 that smokes, have him/her buy it at the store for you and then sell it for a tad more since 18- wouldn't have access to it.

The price of weed will not go up when it gets legalized (and taxed). Why?

BECAUSE IT'S A PLANT! You can just grow your own! The only reason it costs so much now is because of greedy fucking dealers who put themselves ahead of everyone else. It should cost about a third as much as tobacco does in stores, it's so easy to grow. You should be able to buy 20-packs of joints for $5, it is that easy to grow.

If weed was legalized all the people who sell it for the main income would start selling other drugs. This would not be good for anyone.
