Idea's for a cannabis parade float

CONDITIONS:
Height – Floats must not exceed 3.2 metres from “the road”.
Width – Must not exceed 2.4 metres wide.
Length – Should not exceed 4.2 metres long, however this is a bit flexible.
Floats must be peopled or green powered.
To qualify as a float for judging purposes, the presentation must be on some kind of wheels, be it a skateboard, wheelbarrow or larger platform. Floats may feature a single person or group, or may be a centrepiece of a larger on foot display.

JUDGING:

Judges will remain unknown until the day of the event. They will be women and men, and mostly not part of the Happy High Herb shop.

A 1-10 point score method will be adopted.

Crowd response

i would only suggest that if it was certain that i wasn't going to be there. perhaps someday i will be able to visit nimbin

maybe try welding a bunch of bikes together and then getting a bunch of people to ride them together naked

Something that uses all the categories. This may or may not make sense, but...

I'd like to suggest an "Egyptian slaves pulling a giant rock to build a pyramid with" theme.
Except instead of slaves you have people who disagree with marijuana laws - slaves to the Man, if you will - pulling the platform. I'm not sure how you could represent MJ laws.

Make the platform as big as the rules allow out of some kind of everyday item (recycled materials) (also bigger means more of an overall effect and hopefully, crowd response)

You'd need some volunteers (costumes) to pull the platform (on some kind of wheels... locomotion/function). The originality would probably be there, the message power would depend on how well it turned out, and as for punctuality... that seems like a harsh rule to impose on the people who will be entering these floats.

we got really fuckin stoned as it happens, and forgot to put the majority of our stuff in the van.

We just marched without costume and collected our friends from the crowd as we went.

Not sure which float actually won the parade contest, my personal choice though was "free Mary Jane", (thats what I called it.

There was a cage built from bamboo carried by 6 muscular hippies which contained a girl, - her name -mary jane of course
