Debbie and I will be attending this event in Edmonton. We will be stopping in Olds and Ponoka to meet local activists to setup 420 communities.

We will be taking give aways and information hand outs for the three groups.

The trip to Olds, Ponoka and Edmonton on Cannabis Day was a bright sunny day. When we arrived at The Chad Smokeshop 420 in Olds there was a half dozen people waiting in front of The Chad Smokeshop 420. Olds 420 Cannabis Community has now been founded. They want to have a Liberate Marijuana March on August 23 / 08 in Olds. Debbie and I will be attending for their first event so I can talk with the local RCMP and keep everyone safe so they can enjoy the day. The Olds event will start at 10:00 AM and go until the late afternoon with a BBQ. Debbie and I have a previous commitment to attend the CMMC BBQ Saturday afternoon in Calgary so we will have to head for Calgary around noon.

Ponoka 420 Cannabis Community was late and did not show up until after we had left for Edmonton. We will hook up with them on a future date.

We arrived at the park in Edmonton to find Todd and Marge had already been there for a while and were all setup in a real nice shady spot. Todd had a huge BBQ setup ready to go. There was at least 24+ people come and go during the afternoon event. Some had trouble finding us while some others never did find us. Bogart Pipes and Papers arrived right after we left so sadly we did not get to see Dennis and Zoe again this time. First time event was very successful makes us real proud of the Edmonton 420 team.

Kelly gave us hemp bars to give away and we had a Treating Yourself magazines on hand to give away.

CBC radio had contacted me but were unable to attend the event this time. I will send her the pictures I posted here anyway.
