Mike Cox (I swear I'm not making his name up) is proving himself to be a real dick (sorry for the pun...I really have this prick).
Rumor has it that he's using valuable resources to fly helicopters with heat sensitive cameras over houses and fields. Then they're searching homes that have an usual amount of heat coming from it - usually grow lights. Given the rampant crystal meth problem in Michigan and the miserably poor economy there...doesn't it seem like about 1,000,000,000 more things would be a better use of the resources he's throwing into pot busting here? Anyone heard about this? Any thoughts about this? |

It's worked often enough that there are plenty of supply problems in MI with enough folks to get my attention (I don't even live in MI). There are also a number of growers preparing for court battles...

For what it's worth, the Michigan referendum on medical marijuana was just given the official appellation, Referendum #1. Voters throughout the state will have the opportunity to vote for or against approval of medical marijuana in Michigan November 4. To see the referendum's wording, check out Michigan Coalition for Compassionate Care.

there called thermal blankets and you put them on the celing in the room where your lights are...
ffs you think growers would have figured out how to shield thier houses from heat sensors... you can also use thermal blankets to get past motion detectors...

Mike Cox is a cock. Simple as that. he schold change his name to Mike Hunt, it'd be even more fitting. Michigan sucks as it is but without bud it'd be even worse. Damn republicans

I remember my roommate from college tell me that when he was living in Kansas City, MO the police served a search warrant on his home because they detected high levels of heat in his basement. Turns out that they mistook the heat from his personal computer test lab (12 PCs and three servers) for a grow op. Also I recall him saying that they looked at his electric bill and saw it was much higher than his neighbors, and it was constantly high, with some variations at night (when he turned off a few computers).
So a word to the wise is also try to keep your electricity usage the same all day? I don't know....just a thought. |

One of the provision of the med mj proposal is that a person cannot be a provider if he/she has a felony drug conviction. Makes me wonder if Cox is trying to eliminate as many potential large scale compasionate providers ahead of time, so it will be more difficult for sick folks to get their medicine.
