The best thing that happened in America and other countries is all the music that was initially created in the fifties, and grew throughout the sixties, seventies, and eighties. Great rock and roll bands, great concerts, good times, and the sound track of a lifetime. A very high percentage of that music is still being played on radio stations throughout the country. One of my favorite can be listened to at
www.thefox.com complete with the daily 420 Floyd Fix which is, of course, mountain time. I feel very fortunate to have been able to listen to this music from a very early age.
That brings me to this. As talented as these great groups and musicians were and still are, most of them are already wealthy. However, due to their love of music, they still tour but now play smaller venues. It doesn't have to be about the money as much anymore. This is where we come in.
We need to contact these great musicians and remind them of the fact that if it wasn't for those dangerous marijuana smokers who went to concerts and bought record albums which became CD's, they may have never gotten to be where they are now, which is rich and famous. Now that they are set for life no matter what, they should devote some time, effort, and money to our cause and show the world what the relegalization of hemp is all about. Remember Farm-Aid?? What about Hemp-Aid?? Maybe we could get a few of these bands together and play in front of the White? House on a regular basis.
Give me feedback on this. I am talking about really getting these bands on the bandwagon which could include television advertising. Why not get the money out of the same sources we have put it into for all these years??
