"The Emperor Wears No Clothes" Marijuana Author Jack Herer Collapses After Stage Appearance at Portland Hempstalk
(PORTLAND, Ore.) - The most well known person in the world on the subject of marijuana, author Jack Herer, had a heart attack Saturday, after a fiery speech at the Portland Hempstalk Event at Kelly Point Park.
This video clip from Saturday, recorded about two hours before Jack suffered a heart attack, shows him explaining to Dr. Phillip Leveque of Salem-News.com how how he has been feeling better recently:

Apparently the news going around that Jack had surgery is a rumor.
I think hes going to pull through this one. Hes a tough old guy and hes not done yet.

Herer's currently at Emanuel Trauma Center in Portland. His wife Jeannie reports: "Jack has NOT had angioplasty yet and may not have to. Last night (Sept. 12) the doctors put him in an induced coma and lowered his body temp with ice. They are keeping him this way for 48 more hours. His heart is doing well for now so they think he will be ok soon."
apparently, there are a lot of speculations about whether jack has passed or not. i recently just heard he is actually alive, although in critical condition and on life support. some reports are saying his family is debating on whether to take him off life support.
