cannabutter not turning green...wierd?

Happy 420 first and foremost! bongsmilie

So this year i've decided to try my hand at betty crockers brownies, and spent the better part of the night making the cannabutter thats gonna go into the mixture.

I mixed exactly 5grams of Absolute bombshit hyper-what-the-fuck exo with 7ounces of butter in boiling water,then I left it to simmer for 2 hours, stirring it every 5 minutes. Problem was, my solution wasnt turning green! It stayed it's lame shade of yellowish. Now my brownies are in the oven, but what i'm scared of is that something might have gone awry during the butter making. Never seen pot not make butter the same pigment. I watched the resin separate from the pot, but did it stay in there, i really hope i didnt waste some potentially explosive bong hits by deciding to use good weed for cooking :=(.

How did you separate the butter from the water?

put it in the fridge, and pulled out the brick 'o butter.

They just came out of the oven and i scarfed down a huge tester slice, now i need to wait and see i guess.
