Cannabis Chai

Hello,

Kind of new to the forums, kind of new to weed in general, but in any case...

Was doing a bit of an experiment a couple of weeks back concerning weed and tea and weed tea and what-not. I know from surfing the internet that THC isn't water soluble but I also know from experience in, uh, tea drinking, that tea isn't always straight up water + tea leaves. Chai is a delicious, spicy, Indian tea made with plenty of milk/cream and sugar, for those who haven't heard of it or tried it. I thought to myself, "Why not combine some bud with milk or cream to make some cannabis chai?"

So I did. And let me tell you, I got pretty messed up that day for a good 8 hours.

This is a pretty easy drink to make... I mean, I could do it, haha.

Here's what you'll need:

-About half a teabag (or however much that will get you stoned normally) of bud. You need to get a regular ol' teabag, take out the staple, empty its contents, fill it with bud that is as ground up as you can get it, and staple it again. Tada!
-Two chai teabags. I used two to cover up the smell and taste of the marijuana, but you can use however many you prefer. Keep in mind that chai is strong stuff all on its own.
-1 1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream. It's fatty. It's unhealthy. But it is for the good of your high! Also, chai tastes shitty without it. ...Though, one could, say, use whole milk instead of cream and see if that works. I just used cream to be sure.
-1 1/2 cups of water.
-Sugar! However much you prefer to taste.
-An hour of your time. ...Hey, it's worth it!

Heat the cream in a saucepan on medium-high heat. You'll want to whisk it constantly to avoid overheating it and having all this icky plastic-y stuff (curdles) form at the surface. Kind of eyeball it for steam, try a bit to make sure it is hot but not boiling. When it is, add your bud bag and one of the chai bags.

The longer you cook it, the more potent it will be. I stood there and whisked the stuff for a good thirty minutes to make sure that THC was really getting in there, and to make sure the cream wouldn't curdle and taste funkier than needed be.

After the initial thirty, add the water to the concoction, along with the other teabag. The water dilutes the cream and helps it from curdling so you won't need to babysit it as much for this part of the process. Lower the heat to a simmer, and cover. Let it cook for another thirty minutes. Check up on it every ten minutes to stir and make sure nothing terrible has happened.

At this point you'll have some nice, strong marijuana tea. Pour it in a big mug, a thermos, whatever, add sugar (I put about four heaping tablespoons... I like my sugar), and drink up, chums.

I tried chai for the first time ever the other day. It is amazing. This recipe of yours will be tested by me eventually!

did you drink it all? the THC gets evenly distributed throughout ALL the fatty content (i.e. all your cream) so if you didn't, chances are you left a lot of the good stuff unconsumed. hmm... well, i just made some more today, drinking it now. i don't think i left anything out in the instructions...

How is 1/4 a half of a teabag?

I wouldn't be able to trust my cooking skills to put 1/4 into anything.
