Arrow Cooking with Hash..~

2 c Potatoes, cooked
2 c Beef, cooked
1 small Onions
1 t Salt
1⁄4 t Pepper
4 T butter
1 c Brown gravy
or
1 c light cream



1. Put the beef, potatoes, and onion through grinder using the coarse disc.
2. Add seasonings and gravy or cream.
3. Mix well.
4. Melt butter in large skillet and cook hash over low heat about 20 minutes.
5. Variation: red flannel hash grind 1 to 2 cups (250-500 ml) cooked beets or carrots along with potatoes and beef.
6. About 5 minutes before removing from heat.
7. Make 6 depressions in hash with large spoon.
8. Fill each depression with 1 egg. Cover pan and continue cooking about 4 to 5 minutes or until eggs are cooked.
9. Yield: 4-6 servings.

Lightbulb Hash Oil Candy Bars

1.25 dl chopped dates
1.25 dl raisins
1.25 dl figs
1.25 dl ground almonds
1 teaspoon ground aniseed
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon ginger
4 tablespoons hot hash oil/butter blend (for proportions and preparation see hash oil honey above)

Mix and heat slightly all the ingredients except the butter.
Combine the mixture with the hot butter.
Cool the mixture. Knead, roll and cut into individual candy bars.
Wrap in waxed paper, foil or plastic.

Optional way of preparation:

Combine all the ingredients except the butter with 2.5 dl water, heat and mix in the butter.

Heat at a low temperature stirring constantly to prevent scorching. When this mixture has thickened to workable consistency, it is spread on a well-greased baking tin and placed in an oven at 107 C for 30 minutes or until hard enough to cut into individual squares. You may optionally add 1 gram of ginseng to each bar.

Red face Haschich fudge

This one is an old-time favorite from the 1954 Alice B.Toklas Cook Book,
(which anyone could whip up on a rainy day)

This is the food of paradise- 0f Baudelaire's Artificial Paradises: it might provide an entertaining refreshment for a Ladies' Bridge Club or a chapter meeting of the DAR. In Morocco it is thought to be good for warding off the common cold in damp winter weather and is, indeed, more effective if taken with large quantities of hot mint tea. Euphoria and brilliant storms of laughter; ecstatic reveries and extensions of one's personality on several simultaneous planes are to be complacently expected. Almost anything Saint Theresa did, you can do better if you can bear to be ravished by "un evenouissement reveille"

Take 1 teaspoon black peppercorns, 1 whole nutmeg, 4 average sticks of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon coriander. These should all be pulverize din a mortar. About a handful each of stoned dates, dried figs, shelled almonds and peanuts: chop these and mix them together. A bunch of cannabissativa can be pulverized. This along with the spices should be dusted over the mixed fruit and nuts, kneaded together. About a cup of sugar dissolved in a big pat of butter. Rolled into a cake and cut into balls about the size of a walnut, it should be eaten with care. Two pieces are quite sufficient.
