Just a little help with my cooking...
Hello people, I have this get together on sunday and monday with a few cousins and we want to make some cookies. Now I know how to make the cookies and I know the procedure to make cannabutter. What I don't know is how much weed to use.
Why? Because where I live we don't buy weed by weight, we buy weed by price, we buy a $6 baggie, 10, 12, 15, 20, etc...
So when I look around I see a lot of people just talking about grams and I don't know how much that is. I mean, I know 28 grams is an ounce, but I don't know how 28 grams of weed look like.
If someone could show me in an image, how a gram looks like and/or how an ounce looks like.so I can compare and decide how much to use for the cannabutter I'd appreciate it.
Some of you might suggest to look in the threads but the threads only compare weight by YOUR current prices, I think prices where I live are much lower, which makes it harder to compare.
What I am looking for is a picture of a gram of weed and or a picture of an ounce of weed.

why don't you just tell whoever you get your weed from that you need 28g?

If I had one I wouldn't be asking for your help would I? I don't understand, these kind of forums are meant to healp each other but when someone needs help all he gets is a "HELP YOURSELF!!!" reply...
If you had posted a pic of an ounce of weed I would have appreciated it, but pointing out obvious things is not helping...

Well, you're asking us how much a gram of pot looks like...Not all pot is created equal. What a gram of one type looks like, could have an entirely weight/dimension than another. In other words, weight doesn't necessarily reflect size.
$6 is pretty cheap, and in the city you can get about 1.2 for $10, so your probably buying it by the gram that low.
For what reason can you not get a scale?

I'll give you a visual image, k?
1 cigarette weighs in at close to may be a tad over 1 gram.

I had forgotten about this thread, a little update: I fucked up.
In short, the cannaweed evaporated while simmering, maybe I should have payed more attention instead of setting up the stove and forgetting about it. When I went to check on it, it was boiling and I did not see any butter, so I added some more, I assume most of the THC evaporated with the butter. We burned an ounce of weed, we still made the cookies which were great but not stonerish great. They just tasted like weed, but no high.
Will have to try again some time soon.
Funny note: We went for chocolate chip cookies, but I let a cousin mix the dough, he used his hands and squeezed so hard that the chocolate chips disappeared and it turned into chocolate cookies.

awwe man... I feel for you though I've wasted some weed when I was first starting out too. Keep a careful eye on your butter, constantly smell it(if it smells like vaped weed tone the heat down), make sure it isn't simmering off(use low-medium head), lots of mixing helps and it's kinda fun just playing with it haha.
Your cousin melted chocolate chips with his hands?! hahaha That's crazy. Try using like a rubber mixer thinger, if you don't have a mixer.
