I Like to Wine
Name some of your favorite labels, vintages, regions, etc., etc...
I know my fellow hookans are classy connoisseurs of vino! Bet you have some great suggestions.
I like...
Teatown Cellars, 2007 Napa Valley Merlot
Quattro Mani, Italian Montepulciano
Alberto Longo, Calcarra Vecchia, Italian Cab Sauv/Merlot blend
Chilean Cab Sauvs, esp. from the Colchagua region (Central Valley, etc.)
Marlborough, NZ Sauvignon Blancs (Grove Mill, Cloudy Bay, Nautilius)
I also just recently tasted some Italian label called "Visions of J" which was excellent.
Name some faves!

They make a boxed wine with an unassuming name like "Wine in a Box", but unlike Franzia which is like a wine cooler, this stuff is actually pretty decent.
Not all cheap wines are bad, also -- you can buy a lot of inexpensive wines from regions like Chile, South Africa, Argentina, and Australia.
Unless you mean "wines" like this?

im just starting to get into producing my own wine from meads, herbs, and fruit. i have a couple of fermenters and shit for homebrewing, but wine is a completely different beast. looks like fun though, and i bought a couple books on the subject that im now reading.
anyways, i always have prefered dry whites and sweet & fruity country wines over all. reds just have too much tannin in it... always tastes like oak trees and gym socks to me. no real brand name aficionado, but any decent dry white is good.
but if im drinking wine to get drunk and not for taste, i fucks with that carlos rossi rhine.
pour the shit over ice, get tow up.

carlos rossi makes a damn fine chablis, if you haven't tried. that's a summertime wine, and they sell the shiz in a jug.

I love cooking with wine. Sometimes, I even put it on the food.
But seriously, I do enjoy a nice glass of wine with or without smoke.

word. it's my second fav out of the whites from carlo. but i like the tangy sweetness of the rhine. that for me is perfect summer drank. the jug even has a perfect loop handle to grip and sip. and when i say im not drinking carlo rossi for taste, i dont mean it tastes bad. it's pretty damn good, actually. fittin' to get a 4L of that today.

I really enjoy wine but I usually drink pretty cheap stuff.
Toasted Head is a really good mid priced wine, I like the Cabarnet and Chardonnay
