Cooking with smaller amounts
For those of you who are cheap like me and don't grow, here are my few experiences with cooking with smaller amounts.
**The author of this work is presently blitzed beyond belief and make some typing spelling and grammatical errors. Please forgive**
Basically, I made cannabutter the first time, with the saute method. I took two joints worth of weed(my joints are pretty much cigarrette sized, as I use a joint roller machine). This weed was a decent bit of schwag, decent in got me quite high by smoking a joint. I used a non stick fry pan, and placed half a stick of butter in it, and proceeded to melt it over medium heat. **Note, this was a bit too much butter for the amount of weed in my opinion**When the butter was melted, I reduced the heat to keep it just below a simmer(somewhere between low and medium, depends on yout stove). Then I added my weed, 2 joints worth of schwag, and cooked it over low heat, with frequent stirring to prevent burning for about 15 minutes.Also, I was constantly adjusting the heat to keep from burning butter or weed.
Note:When the butter is melted, you can also "clarify" the melted butter, by scooping away the white foam like stuff. I believe this will help the Cannibudder last longer (decreased rancidity). I don't have a need to keep it around for more than a day or so, thus I skipped this process.
Ok, so you've cooked 2 joints worth in butter, now ya gotta strain. At this point I didnt have a nice handheld metal strainer, and couldn't find any cheesecloth, so I poked a ton of holes in a coffee filter, and squeezed the remaining butter from the vegetable matter (Don't forget to cool it!)
Tada, a small amount of cannabudder! Now, I used a premade cookie (the raw kind that sells in the refrigerated section in the grocery store, that you break apart and cook), and worked the butter in. Since I used half a stick, I had to use four cookies to cut down on greasiness, and ended up with a giant cookie. Cook, serve, fry, repeat!
I was baked in about an hour, and continued to fry higher for a few hours, then slowly came down. I fell asleep about four hours into it, and woke up a little high! I have a few more experiences to share, but it took me about an hour to type this because typing is a bit of a chore right now=)
Note: Eating gives me a heavy, heavy body buzz. Every part of me tingles, its so cool!

Exelent, I get my ozzer today and I just came in here ( i don't usually bother with cookin' weed, just smokin') to see if I could do something small, and woop-de-doo! here's this post.
You get a 5 for fantastic.. Thanks for the recipe.. One thing though..When you say half a stick of butter, what's that in grams (125gm?)..

DankedOutPrincess420 , on eating versus smoking, it is simply a matter of preference=) Eating weed gives your lungs a break. Although it may take a little more to get high by eating, be assured the high can last from 6 to 8 hours, and is a different high than smoking. Personally, I eat when I have longer blocks of time to kill, and I smoke when I just want a buzz for a few hours. Eating is cool=)
Makros_01, a stick of butter comes in a pack of four, and totals a pound. In metric, a stick of butter would be about 113 gm (1/4 pound). I think for two joints worth, half that amount (~56-57gm) would suffice.
I'll try to post future measurements in both metric and apothecary systems=)

if yur gunna make cookies u dont gotta make butter first. i just buy the frozen pilsbudy cookie dough, the double chocolat fudge 1, then i spread a bit of peanut butter, then put the weed on then some more cookie dough. u dont need the peanut butter, but its fatty so it helps extract the thc. i made 1 big cookie with 5 or 6 grams.a quarter of the cookie got me high then a next day i ate half of it and got fucked.

ive done the same thing chill pill, but i usually use the dank buds, not schwag, when im making just a few cookies. you can use a gram and get 2 or 3 STONY cookies!

I love talking about eating th erb. I have done so on so many occassions...yesterd ay lunch, today dinner..lol
You really dont need that much weed to cook and get yourself a *good* to *excellent* body buzz. I once used waaaaaaay to much and didnt move from my couch for sx hours. (lol, had to cancel those plans!)
Ive been getting dirt *very* inexensive, and it's nice too cook with.
THE TRICK: SURFACE AREA
When you plan to cook with your ganja, I advice you to grind it up *as much as you can*
I use my coffee bean grinder. it really does the trick. after its ground up I keep it in a little jar with the rest of my erbs!
Whenever I make pasta sauce, or any thing in a stir fry or oil (or butter, FAT is the key) based meal, I throw in some "spices"
I dont use too much, maybe a teaspoon for myself.
warning, for those who havent eaten it before though, it *is* a different high. I sometimes prefer the body high when I know I hav nothing to do for the rest of the day
