is 5 days safe for a swab test?

another lowes hiring question.....hubby has been smoking daily, mostly at night to sleep, for about a year with a few breaks inbetween of a couple weeks. by time he has his interview he will be clean for 5 days. will he be safe? i've heard it only tests for recent use, like the last 3-5 days. anyone know when in the interview process they test you? is it in the store during your first interview or later in the process?
we're debating buying the $40 stuff to be sure. he's been waiting to be called for an interview for almost a year (stupid hiring freeze). i'd think they wait till the 2nd interview or so.
any help would be GREAT!!

For a swab test he should be golden. I would definitely not do any dumb detox thing. Unless you have like bits of bud stuck between your teeth i think youd be fine...

Actually swab tests can pick up residue in the mouth up to around 12-hours, and start to dissipate on average in around 4 hours. You would literally have to smoke the day of your screening to fail a swab test.

I had a swab test once... smoked like an hour and a half before my test because I was unaware of the test. Walked in drinking a diet mountain dew... passed just fine.

i think it may have been the mountain dew....

it was a shitty swab test though..

Honestly.. you could probably go in higher than shit and pass a swab test.
Those things are a joke.
