I hang around a lot of different people. The majority of the people I burn with are all about who gets the first hit. I personally could care less but for some reason it’s the biggest thing to them, I mean where all going to get high. I don't know I just find it quite weird.

Well, I don't know where you live, but where I live we call it "greens" so we always say "I call greens".

I normally say it sometimes cause I love the taste of the weed I get, and some other time I wont know what type it is.

First hit things are just traditional just a "green" start with the night or "I'm ready, and I'm the first to do it!" something like that, yeah, you get the point.

Yah I know what greens are... Usually the person who rolls or packs, gets it!! I’m not an idiot, my point was how everyone has 2 hit it be4 another "after the first hit."

All you nubby smokers must learn to CORNER your bowls..

Take the lighter, and burn it close to a section of the bowl that way it leaves greens for everyone. My buddy and I can corner a bowl like 6-7 times but usually only once so each of us gets half greens. .. DUH

^ yeah green hits shouldn't really be an issue when every hit except the last couple is green. not to mention the greater enjoyment cornering offers when smoking alone.

That is called greed, you smoke with greedy people...

In the circles I have been apart of the person who packs it always passes to either, the person who got the ass hit of the last bowl, whoever doesn't ask for it, or their/a lady in the room... It is just good manners to not hit bowls that you pack yourself, as that it's seen as not only selfish but greedy as well...There will always be more chronic so there is no worrying about not getting enough or ever getting greens again, and anyone that shows that they do not understand that gets punished by getting pre-hit bowl packs...This all goes out the window when we are smoking out of a bong as that we all pack snappers(one-hit bowls) for each other, again no one packs bowls for themselves unless the session is over and someone needs a bit more and everyone else is good...

worrd, that's how we'd do it. or if someone didn't get as much or missed a hit, we'd even start with them. you're all going to get high anyways, what's one or two hits? but ya, that's another good thing we do too grieves, pack one hits. can't have any complaints that way.

Whoever packs gets greens, unless you've got a larger rotation in which case it goes to the next person. Besides that, no one should be roasting the entire bowl so there are no greens left.

Alright this is it right here.

The person who packs/rolls it gets greens. If the weed is not the packer/rollers he passes to whoever purchased the weed, who then proceeds to pass it right/left to begin rotation. There is never any arguement.. thats just how its done around here.

Joints are the preferred method in my circle of friends and the person that rolls never sparks it, no arguments over who gets it you just pass it to the person on your left. My mate was recently in the US and said you pack a cone for like three or four people and share it i don't get that, just pack it yourself smoke it then pass the bong and the next person does the same.

it doesn't really matter to me or anyone that i know. theres no rules but everyone gets stoned. for example i will roll a joint with someone else's weed and i light it or maybe i use my own weed and pass it to someone else. pack single hits on bongs and don't smoke a bowl with too many people or anyone that torches the whole thing when unnecessary

the unspoken rules of smoking in my area:

-roller gets to spark the spliff, packer gets to spark the bowl, even if its not their weed

-the person who pitched in the most gets next hits, person who contributed 2nd-most gets thirds, and so on and forth

-if anyone hasnt contributed they usually get last hit in the round.

this seems quite complicated, however these rules make the most sense, theres never been as much as a discussion about the order of the passing of lit cannabis, everyone just follows this order.

sometimes if someone doesnt know who to pass to next, they would just hold out the spliff and make a joint-passing motion towards several members of the session at once that havent yet hit the spliff. the people who this joint-passing motion is directed to already know who contributed the most to the session; the person that contributed more would take the joint and hit it; at the same time the person who contributed less knows not to take the joint before the person who contributed more. noone will exclaim "omg u broke teh rulez!!1!" however that persons actions will be seen as rude.

also nobody counts how many tokes everyone takes, thats highschool bullshit, everyone takes as many tokes as they see fit, however if you get too greedy noone will want to smoke with you in the future.

as complex as these rules may seem, they are unspoken rules, they are just common sense, at least in my area anyway.

Thank you! I smoked with one of my friends buddies and the dude sat, watched and counted how many tokes everyone took. It made me uncomfortable.. like I had to hurry up and pass the shit. And the dude didn't even pay for it!
