Does 7-eleven in Tampa Bay uses to do hair test?????

Hi guys!

I'm fuckin concerned about this issue...I'm a under graduate student from Brazil and I'm gonna work on a 7-eleven store in Tampa Bay for 3 months. I think that I'll be tested right after my arrival, on 9th december...last time I smoked was on 5th october. So, if they hair test me, I'l be doomed!I'll have to go back to Brazil, no money, etc, etc...you guys know if they actually do the hair test?If not, what kind of test should I expect?

I for some reason doubt a gas station does hair testing. Then again, I've been wrong before.

But it's not just a "gas station"...it's a fuckin huge company...

Yes it is a huge company, but most likely you will end up working at a gas station.

very doubtful that they'd hair test you, it's relatively expensive and takes a while to get back results. I'd expect a piss test.

The thing is...I started feeling worried when I notice on ww.testclear.com that 7-eleven stores in tampa bay were hair testing...well, I don´t know if this information is reliable, I don´t know how they obtained it at all...but it´s there, on their site...

Yea as far as I could tell that is accurate.

Just check if it says first hand experience or not for a guarunteed check.

There is a "no" on the "first hand experience" field...in this case, they told me that they use to get information like that thanks to user input and public help...

Yeah, when I searched that thing the only place that showed up was some 7-11 in Virginia. I highly doubt they would hair test, unless it was for an important position like a Regional Manager or a Director. I doubt they're going to want to dish out the cash just to have a store clerk get a drug test when a piss test is just as efficient and much less expensive.

And do you know that when you work in any convenience store in America you're taking the chance that you could get robbed?

But casinos use to hair test their employess...even those in lower positions...

casinos are different than 7-11s dude.

casinos make huge money and generally it would seem harder to get a job at one vs. a gas station / convenience store "mart" hybrid thing with smoothies and chips etc.

Well, but imagine the following situation...they hair test me and I don´t pass...they end up finding out that I´m not a heavy user by any means, by analysing the result of the test...I´d work there just for three months...what would they possibily do?

First off dude, they're not going to hair test you. Like I said, hair tests are expensive and they're not going to use it on someone just working in the store. You gave Casinos as an example. Well Casinos collect a lot of money every single night, and even the low end waiters have to be tested because they're working around large amounts of money, whether or not it's a chip or in cash form. But you my friend will be working at a 7-11, the kind of place where they have to put stickers on the window saying you only have $50 in the register. Just to try and prevent people from wanting to come in and rob you because you're an easy target without any protection or security. Don't worry about getting a hair test, if you really haven't smoked since October 5, then that's great man and you have nothing to worry about. If you're still paranoid just do what surf and smoke suggested, cut off you hair. That's one way you're sure you can pass a hair test.
