anyone know of any legit full installers on torrent sites, nun you got experience with this? xD

So, this is an MMO I recently started up. I did play it like a year or two ago but never got to into it. You can play for free, but prems get bonuses, like usual, but not really combat bonuses, just higher ranks in the factions, apartments, more inventory space (apparently free accounts can only hold 2 stacks at a time but you still get a shiiit load of storage space.

problems connecting to internet with old powerbook g4 laptop

so my stepson got an older mac powerbook g4 laptop and its not connecting to the internet which is weird

it recgonizes the wireless network (the house right next door, all other computers in the house get the connection no prob...but theyre not macs)

and it's password enabled so we type the password and it says it cannot connect so now i know the password is right, for sure for sure, a bunch of other computers in the house are running fine with that password so why am i having trouble connecting to the internet???

The UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has discovered that Square Enix – the developers of popular sci-fi video game Final Fantasy XIII – had misled gamers by not using pictures from the Xbox 360 but from its arch-rival, the Sony PlayStation 3.

All it took was an eagle-eyed gamer who noticed that the advert was using higher resolution images from the PlayStation 3 for the ASA to act. The Advertising Standards Authority tested the game on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 using an identical set-up and agreed that the screen quality on the PS3 was ‘sharper’ than images from the Xbox and have banned the ad from being shown again.

In the ASA adjudication, it was stated: “A viewer objected that the ad was misleading because the game footage in the ad was from the PS3 version of the game, which was of better quality to that of the Xbox 360.”

The complaint was upheld after the ASA made the following ruling: “We tested the two games, on screens with an identical set-up, and ran them alongside one another. We noted that there was a discernible difference in the picture quality of the two; the PS3 image in video sequences appeared sharper and colours were more vivid than those of the Xbox 360.”

In their defence, Square Enix said that “… the ad did not feature game play footage of images derived from a particular console, but rather contained full motion video (FMV) cut scenes”. They have however admitted that the images used were from the Sony PlayStation “to allow advertisers to capture the FMV footage for the advert”.

Experts have warned that the ruling which declares that PS3 games have a higher quality than Xbox titles could have a major impact on the multi-million pound gaming industry.

hey, so if any of you are into photography at all, and have a SLR or a DSLR you may want to try this out.

all you have to do is remove the lens from your camera, turn it around, so the filter is facing your sensor, hold it in place, and get real close to whatever you wanna film/ photograph, and itll come into focus at an extremely magnified level! its really cool for shooting stuff like plants etc.

check it out i made a short test film with some footage i shot using this technique. its really easy to do, and looks great!

Which do you listen/subscribe to?

I mostly listen to NPR podcasts: Car Talk, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, Science Fridays, Worldview, This American Life, Talk of the Nation and All Things Considered.

I also view video podcasts of the Marine Channel and Jacques Cousteau's son's docu-podcast.

My favorite has to be The Adam Carolla Podcast, though.

All this is free btw.

finally gettin a ps3

Buying the limited edition pack that comes with Uncharted 2.. probably buy 1-2 more games with the purchase..

looking for help on making a decision. i havent been following games one bit but so I'm not completely aware on whats come out over the past year or so or whats kinda gone under the radar but an awesome game.

online play is a huge deal breaker. I'm not big on console shooters but considering I'm in Turkey, my normal shooters on PC wont be pinging to well so I may start playing them on console once again.

Something like God of War 3 or Dantes Inferno is an option but I dont know, that might come later after I've made a few purchase unless convinced otherwise.

Just looking for opinions and ideas.

This is a new game I tried, I hate fps but I wanted something to do.

I wont write a whole review, but quite frankly the weaponry is to complicated and just over technical. even my controller with 18 buttons cant handle every action. Time control, time this, time that, all kinda of shit.

However I made this post to say, the story is AMAZING, I recall us bitching about the acting and scripts in games.

This one gives me hope, I haven't finished it yet, but its like playing a real movie and being really there, its fucking amazing.

I just wish the weaponry was better and I kinda suck at fps games.

Weeds season 6

Saw the first episode, if this is any indication, im going to be very disappointed in this season.

However, this past season of breaking bad was slow and boring until it counted, so im not giving up on weeds just yet.
