Technical question about flowers

Many plants have "tigers ears" or whatever you call those big single calyx's at the nodes. I couldn't get a good angle on it it, but this one

had a suspicious triangular shape to it. So I ripped off the calyx to see what was underneath.

Is that (circled) the base that the pistils stick out of, or is that an immature pollen pod?

EDIT: upon further study, that appears to be more a "pre-seed" than a "pre-pollen pod", so I'm prolly jumping at shadows.

I dunno blippy, i had those same looking things on two of my "females". I didn't know any better, since it was my first time. When I harvested, I had a few seeds in all my buds. I'm not saying that its a hermie, but that looks rediculously similar. I never found any pollen sacs while I was growing, they musta been real well hidden.

all my plants have them. all my plants have been taken as cuttings from the one seed shiva shanti 2 seed i have had small imature seeds im most but not all my plants i just assumed that they were bud and that a larger bud was suimply made up of loads of these.
but i donno u got me wondering now maybe all my plants are hermi i know i stressed a few enuff to turn them hermi theres no mistaken there
but i donno

hmm i thought the second pic was gonna be the same as the first so i diddent click it at first before i replied but now that i did lol i aint seen nutin like that ever

Its a (swollen) ovary im pretty sure.

You pulled off the perianth, which is a combination of the fused petals (corolla) and sepal (caylax),

the bud is an inflorecence of flowers. at the base of each mini flower is an ovary, in which the seed forms.

I need some botanical drawings of MJ to find out for sure.

I had the same thing on all my plants (4) That were started a month ago. At first I thought they were all going to be males, but they all turned out to be female. Good thing too. The seeds were ones I grew out from a hermi, so I am thinking all 150 seeds are femisized.
