Hermaphrodite plants
OK my first indoor grow (have grown outdoors b4 while living in a hotter country) all seems good, we started the flowering stage and only had 2 males wahoo. Only problem is my best looking plant is starting to look like a Hermaphrodite
I don't really know if i should pick off what look like little balls with no hairs sticking out, sitting just under the female flowers heads as she/he looks mostly female, or give up on her altogether sad to say as she/he looks so beautiful, but as we all know seeds are not nice Any info anyone might have on Hermaphrodite plants would be greatly appreciated. Thanks heaps in advance Kind regards Smokin

EDIT: I've just checked the FAQ, here and other places, and I have not found a single FAQ where the sexing issue isn't addressed, with clear photos/illustrations. I think that should be your next stop.

![]() I have found these pics below if anyone is interested in seeing what a Hermie plant looks like. (they are not our plants just pics i have found showing a hermie plant, ours have alot less male flowers on ) The question is more now, if it were your plant would you chop it down or try to pick off the male flowers as they appear, seen as our Hermie is mostly female. vote to save or chop peeps ![]() ![]() ![]()

It would depend how prolific the male flowers were including the number of plants you had to de-flower. It can be labour intensive depending on the number of flowers. It is worth a try to remove the male pods as they appear and before they open- if it turns out to be an uphill struggle you'll know when its time to terminate them and start anew.
