whats happening to my weed?

I am growing weed in spare room under 600w hps i am at week 6 of flowering and have encountered something odd. My heads look like they are growing new bud on the older bud it looks like its regrowing the heads have gone from nice bushy sticky bud to fairly wispy not so sticky bud, have i let it go to far? Bear in mind it started to do this in the middle of week 4..........help

weird, i havent heard of that, however i have seen some strange effects like buds crazily stretching/lengthening due to a big dose of nitrogen in mid flower.

OMG i did just feed with a dose of nitrogen due to dying shade leaves. any idea's on how to rectify this.

lol i see that mistake budbasher!

anyway about the plants, i dont know.
what strain is it? do you know when it is supposed to be (normally) finished?
you might try flushing them very well for a few days and just cut em and be done with it, or give em a couple more weeks and see what happens.
im afraid the weirdness has already been done and is not reversable

Cheers for the tea smokin, and thanks( i think ) v3d4 I have harvested in week 6 in the hope of saving what i can, bit of a bitch though! although even though to me it seemed too early to crop, most of the pistils(60-70%) had browned so who knows?
proofs in the smoking, i will know more in a week or so.

Budbasher and teamate ....its a bit late since you harvested(owe well), but I think that what is the more likely scenario is that the tops of the buds began to spit out whispy stretched growth as a result of being directly under the light, ie too much light(as opposed to heat) will almost encourage vegetive growth even if during the flowering cycle. Its not too uncommon and the growth can look abnormal - because it is....bud which just grows in all directions. Raiseing the light is one remidy...or adding Co2 to allow for closer distance between bud and light source on account of faster growth processes?

Another possibility, if its not that -is it possible your timer failed and the light cycles were disrupted? Enjoy the smoke any way, it'll still be sweet.

Don't sat that now Kosh, i panicked a wee bit, oh well never mind as you say it will still be sweet.
On the funny side, I spent a few hours trimming my bud today and as you can imagine I stunk of skunk. Anyway after a while you kind of get used to the smell, so it wasn't until I was sat in front of my disability advisor, in my local counsil building, did I realise why all the local jobseekers were sniffing the air and winking at me. Needless to say I made a hasty retreat, and a valuable lesson was learnt, either change clothes or apply copious quantities of aftershave next time.

ahh yes, the zen that is trimming and manicuring the buds. trimming day in my house means one thing. the bowl is ALWAYS packed and loaded. nothing kicks monotony and tedium like the good green in a vaporizer.
