cheap CO2 method
if my middle school chemistry serves me correctly vinegar and baking soda create c02 ..so for my small hydroponic grow can i fill a bucket with this mixture and run a tube into my box... if anyone knows if this will work or not please respond... also i have some gunpowder and was wondering about adding small amounts into the solution probably a bad idea though let me know about my idiotic schemes

I`ve used yeast and sugar in a bottle that I shake every couple of hours..........
Then again one could use dry ice..........

Yes, it will work, but the trouble is that you cannot regulate the amount of CO2 that it produces, nor the length at which it will produce.

Vinegar on a slow drip into sodium bicarbonate will produce co2 gas. How much of a drip, how much sod bicarb, how much vinegar is any bodies guess.

I know you can buy industrial sized bags of sodium bicarb for less than 10 $ for 50lb's. Buying it as baking soda it's about a buck an oz. Buy in Bulk
