Week 6 Questions
hello,
I am at 6 weeks into bloom, 3 strains.... 1 killer indica of some type... short fat buds, 2 different strains premium sativa strains. Indica is fat and filled out great... sativas are slightly stretchier but also looking like they will fully fill up the stocks. Question... with 3 strains I have decided to got for a 8 week bloom which means, 2 weeks flush. Am I flushing prematurely? No fox tails yet. I am afraid I might me a bit premature as the sativas could go an extra week or 2. I think I got em good for their flowering period with extra 'monster bloom' . The sativas are absorbing their leaves now (fall colors) the indica is still pretty green and no telling how big the buds are gonna get. It is half the height of the otehrs and fat, juicy buds. No fox tails on the sativas yet either. is 8 weeks a good target? or should I feed em once more for 3 days then flush or someting to that effect. I reallly want the killer taste this time, as I have never gotten the good flush ion the last 3 batches even though they came out great, you could tell the taste could just be better. Omerta Peace Ps I will post some killer photos in this thread when I can. T

not sure that any of them will be done in 2 weeks.. i'm thinking 3 or so
are you still growing in hydro, like in the past? keep the ferts going strong another week.. then start tapering off and eliminate them at about 7 left. taste can be the result of many things.. proper care is only one of them. from seed you won't get the best results everytime.. good lookrs dont always taste great, and vice versa. from clone.. well, then you have an idea of what to expect perhaps, but you haven't really told us what you're working with here in specific. they look great, overall.. just i think you'll need a bit more time than you've initially planned for.

Agreed.
The sativa will benefit from some extra time, doesn't look like you'll be getting massive foxtails on her though. Looks great though. Lots of budsites, but lots of branch too. I'd keep going with the ferts for now, add another week or two onto your expected harvest date. |

Yes, I have tweaked my hydro considerably from my first time and now have a kind of "flood and flow" system that is working great. I built it myself, but is pretty straight forward. I'll describe my setup later. Back to the plants, my fear is, that in the past, I would think they could use another week, and BAM... they start getting ripe real fast, then I don't get a full flush or flush at all. Timing has been the most difficult part of growing for me. And keeping the PH down as mine seems to creep so fast I cant keep it down fast enough. Thanks again. I will keep you posted and show some more pics over the next few weeks.
