Coolshade looks like a glass tube with reflector on one side, connects to fan to take heat away. (Diamond reflector is another reflector Ecotechnics make I think). So yeah the fan should be pulling air directly from over the bulb.
The rockwool cubes are for cloning (hence the formulex) although I am thinking about setting up some sort of non-soil grow with the 400 watter (which will soon be kind of redundant). Might set up some kind of home made bubbler or something as an experiment. ![]()

More pics.
As you can see all is well in the vegging chamber. The flowering plants (1st generation) have never really recovered from my absence (poor things ) but I`m dosing them up with alarming amounts of nutes (my last grow of Mango`s would have been burning real bad the amount I`m giving them but I guess NL`s are hardy that way) which they seem to appreciate but you can`t turn back the clock and they`re looking a bit pasty. The second generation have been in the flowering chamber around a week. You may notice LST going on. Sorry these pics (apart from the veg chamber) arn`t real good, maybe I need to get a tripod or maybe stop drinking coffee.

big mama looks nice and fat mate! How long till finish?
By the way, theres a new product for LST called "bendz". Most UK grow shops have it. Makes LST easy with no strings all over. |

Not sure how long till harvest, think they got set back a bit, most of the trichomes are still clear- a lot of them are getting a bit cloudy so shouldn`t be too long.

Damn right.
Just got some rockwool cubes, set a bunch of cuttings. Added a little formulex to their water, will see how it goes. Getting impatient for the new kit to arrive, I need to clear the vegging chamber out a bit. First generation ready for the chop methinks, trichomes looking cloudy now. It`s fun studying your plants with a 30x magnifier. Next watering commence flushing!

Clones doing well in rockwool.
If this works out I can`t believe how easy it is, should have been doing this ages ago.
