Harvesting time time time

Alright. Im not new to this. Ive been growing a few years. Small operations in buckets in my backyard, and I always force flower because if not, they out grow the buckets. I am aware that harvesting at different times has different effects on bud potency and "type" of high. Depending on hair color and stuff. What I need is a deep de3scription on what exactly to look for. Am I looking for HALF my hairs to be brown? 1/4 brown? Detailed pics would be great. Or a few opionions would be alright. Let me have it.

your best bet is to pick up a 30x jewelers loupe or a pocket microscope(radio shack has a decent 15$ one that scopes from 60x-100x).
once you have that in hand, start inspecting the trichome heads. when the heads start turning amber, that is your cue to get ready to cut. the other thing to watch for is the swelling of the calyx. you want to cut the plant when they are big and fat, looking like they are about to burst. different plants/strains will mature at slightly different rates, so that is why it pays to watch the plants closely in that last week before the chop.

Lightly colored tri's at about 6 weeks. Darker by 7 weeks and almost all totally amber covered by 8 weeks is usually the normal rate of development.Normal cut down is between 50-55 days for most after flowering is induced.

Is it okay to use final flush when only a trace of amber is visible? (6.5 weeks)

Yes, and then straight water. Give it a good soaking. Let it run through the pots if possible.

Anywhere you can find any. Buds, leaves anywhere.
