cant honestly say that i agree. i do not grow. just smoke. but i am knowlegable bout growing cannabis and i am sort of skeptical about publicised growers and tokers of 'high status' (no punn intended
) endorsing feminised seeds if they do not work.i must know a few things: how long have you been growing? from what company did you purchase the seeds? how long has this company been around? what do others say about the company? are they reputable? many factors go into finding the Correct answer. you may have stressed the plants in a way that would inhibit hermaphrodites to grow. such as a bouncing photo period. i can't blame you though. after spending that amount of money, or any money for that matter, on seeds and not get what is "promised" I would be pissed also. but dont let your anger cloud you from finding the truth. it may very well be a bad seed company. and it may also be something that YOU did while growing. i want to know just as much as you do bra ![]() |

I've purchased feminized seeds on 2 occasions and haven't had 1 hermie. 100% females. I've also had 90% germination and the 2 that didn't germinate were my fault for not storing them properly.

No offence but you`ve posted the same thing in like 3 different threads. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but you`re laying it on a bit thick.
You can get any weed plant to go hermie if you mess it around enough. I don`t use feminised seeds myself but have still had some ladyboys in the growroom- I think it was caused by a light leak in the flowering chamber. I picked off the bananas that I could find but I obviously missed 1 or 2 `cos I got a few seeds. Not a big issue though, I couldn`t actually tell any difference in yield. If you don`t want to waste time sexing your plants then fem seeds don`t seem like a bad idea to me, just I tend to clone, clone and clone again so in the long term I`d rather go with regular seeds. And sometimes I save a bit of pollen from a promising strain.

Once altogether is the norm otherwise every category will have the same posts in so we might as well have one big one.

Or you could clone all your plants before flowering, label every plant and clone, then flower the mothers/fathers, see which sex they are and then ditch the fathers/boyclones. Either way it takes time and effort.

I would understand your point, if u had a bad experience with a certain batch of femed beans from a dodgy breeder. But you havent tried them AT ALL. Theres breeders/seed banks out there like Dutch Passion, Nirvana, BArneys, Flying dutchman (etc etc etc etc) who have been selling quality genetics in a feminized form. I ve tried them and was very satisfied with the results. Like farmergiles said, getting hermies isnt necesserelly because your beans were "bad". Could be stress from other reasons (heat, light leaks, treatment of plants, etc) |

experienced enough 2 know better!
I havent tried them because I know better.I was a grower for the 1st cannabis club in san fran and any real growers know cali kids know there shit!I was 1 of 4 grower/breeders that supplied them(buds, clones, see ds,ect)Ive been breed'n cannabis for years who the fuck are you.You should try reading a grow book instead of hearing 1 thing filling in the blanks and all the sudden YOUR an expert!the reason several top seedbanks sell femseeds is cause 80,90% of all seed custi's are new growers!and the newbies want to try fems because their paranoid about males(which is a big mistake) so either they sell their own fems or watch their business go elsewhere!WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH!read cannabis breeders bible by greg green "experienced growers/breeders stay away from fem seeds"pass it on!

Ban him? This guy is too funny to ban. LOL
rpostle, you say you're this great grower & breeder, yet you need books to tell you how to grow? You need books to tell you fem seed is bad? You need books to tell you how to breed? You sound like a dude who's never grown a plant in his life. You sound like a guy who has no experience with marijuana, whatsoever. Straight up, you sound like an idiot.

The title and the post don`t really match up now that you`ve edited your posts 2 or 3 times. Editing your posts because of the responses you get is silly. If you havn`t already noticed, the date you last edited your posts shows up.
