Never heard of those reasons before and Pot plants are pretty hard to kill so I'm going to say I doubt that the results you are hoping for will happen, but strange results may occur non the less, you never know til you try it yourself.

Dole? DOLE?!?!?! F U C K --- N O
Go buy some organic pineapples and press the juice out and use that. There is SO MUCH SHIT in dole juice that you dont want to be putting in your body, let alone your weed!

the only thing i can see pineapple juice doing for your smoke is providing it with extra sugars, since i assume youll be flushing for a week or two before you harvest. but from all my experience, watering during the last 2-3 days before you harvest is a NO NO. unless its hydro of course, then straight water. but i seriously doubt anything will happen besides the pH going nuts and your plants attracting flys...

This ground has been covered for YEARS. Pineapple juice MIGHT do something, who knows? Try it and see. But You’d probably get better results starting it earlier.
It is generally accepted that adding some type of sugars to the water during flower tends to improve the quality. Some authorities recommend (swear by) unsulfered blackstrap molasses. When I was a kid my parents would add coca-cola to their soil (pre-hydro). In addition there are several products on the market which cost around thirty dollars a quart that are formulated to fulfill this specific function, such as Carboload, Advanced Nutrients Sweet Leaf and Botanicare Sweet. I think the all these products just an equivalent to molasses. Molasses is much cheaper as a sugar source and unsulphured blackstrap molasses works superb, so I don't see much point in spending $$$$ using Carboload, Sweet, or Sweet Leaf when molasses works just as well and is cheaper. Molasses is a good source of carbohydrates to stimulate the growth of beneficial microorganisms. “Carbohydrate” is really just a fancy word for sugar, and molasses is the best sugar for horticultural use. In addition to sugars, molasses contains significant amounts of potash, sulfur, and a variety of micronutrients. One final benefit molasses can provide to your garden is it’s ability to work as a chelating agent. Chelated minerals can be absorbed directly and remain available and stable in the soil. But will ANY of this improve flavor? Saying that carbohydrate products enhance flavor because of the sugar feeding the microbes is silly. Yes the carbs are a good food source for microbes, but that in itself has absolutely nothing to do with flavor and aroma enhancement. My main point here is that you’d be better off adding molasses rather than pineapple juice, however I really think it is too late to add such things at the end if you want to enhance your harvest. Good Luck

When I chopped my plants down, I placed some of the buds still attatched to the stems in pinapple extract. I definatly noticed a fruitier smell and taste to them. I thought the same concept that turns a white rose blue when in blue food coloring would achieve the same TYPE of affect to weed w/ pinapple extract.

the only way to be 100% sure would be to stabilize an F5 mother and use those clones from her (F6) that way the genetics will be completely stable. otherwise youd have natural variations from plant to plant, so theres no way you could tell without first stabilizing the strain's genetics . hope that made sense ![]() Last edited by Absynth420; 09-22-2008 at 02:50 AM. |
