Sulphur deficiency?
One of the Lord's new children is... uh, not quite right.
Pale green. Not yellow, but more of a pale lime. All leaves in entirety exhibit the condition, veins and all... so it doesn't quite fit N2, Fe or Mg deficiency. I think...? The Lord does not knoweth. Sulphur? Water pH is 5.5 (chemically lowered from 7.0 as comes from the Holy Well,) and there are no ferts being used at this early stage of childhood. The Lord calleth upon the knowledge of the Wise. The Lord thanketh thee in advanceth. Peace & Love J.H.C. |

I'd start with a higher PH say around 5.8 and some micronutrients. Too bad fishtank water isn't for sale it's perfect. Low PH can lock out nutrients and Nitrogen deficiency makes the leaves look washed out and yellow. All guesses at this point.

The Lord thanketh thee, Master Slunt.
The Lord hath been sitting here scratching his ass trying to figure out why this one pot is goofy, and it suddenly occurreth that this one kid was the first potted up of the 8. The potting soil for the other 7 is fresh bought, but this one came from the remainder of a bag that sat in the garage for maybe 7 months. Dost soil have a shelf life? The Lord is tempted to re-pot... but I'd hate to bang up the roots. What dost thee think? Peace & Love J.H.C. |

We've got a thread called 'give us your soil recipe'........
I'm partial to mine but there's some real dandies in there if the Lord wisheth to do a search! I'd re-pot.....soil in my opinion has a shelf life, especially indoor soils. Last edited by Pharm Girl; 11-18-2008 at 05:49 AM. Reason: grammer |

Wouldn't hurt to repot. Since that is the only one, and the soil is different maybe something fell into it to cause it, or maybe it's soil from an alien subculture produced to create little yellowed alien plants that will eventually take over the earth.
Or I watched too much tv yesterday |

The Lord didst finally applyeth a bit of common sense, and didst repot the yellow child last night.
As my Father is prone to asketh thine Lord on way too many occasion: "What the hell is wrong with you, boy? Are you fuckin' retarded???" Peace & Love J.H.C. Last edited by Jesus H. Christ; 11-18-2008 at 06:37 AM. Reason: typo |

The Lord humbly thanketh all again and again and again.
The Lord doth enjoyeth yahooka for the grow log style threads most of all. There is an incredible knowledge base here, and of course, the presence of experts, literally on call(!) to immediately provide been-there-done-that information when the FAQ's are not enough, is a service that can only be described as invaluable. The Lord cannot thanketh all of thee enough! For those still new to this fantastically fulfilling hobby, as the Lord also remaineth, follows is a list of what the Lord hath found to be THE most important, most useful snippets of knowledge, gleaned from the wisdom of the uh... ahem, "elders." 1) READ the FAQ's: Chances are your burning question hath been answered previously, sometimes hundreds of times over. The elders doth grow weary of hearing the same questions, over and over and... 2) Environment: Set up your grow room or box using foreknowledge of your local climate. Knoweth that excessive heat in summer is much more difficult and expensive to control than winter cold. Knoweth also that cold, (non-freezing) grow room temps of less than 60F will sloweth or stoppeth growth, but that prolonged temps above 90F will turn your children into non-smokable retards, if not killeth them outright. The Lord findeth winter grows to be much easier than summer. 3) Killeth not thy children through kindness: Get 'em going, and leave 'em alone as much as possible. Treat real problems, but do not get carried awayeth with hands-wringing worryeth over the little things. For example, minor fert burns do not require flushing or repotting, they only mean you are overfeeding; over-loving your children. Same applies with the Holy Watereth: Too little water is easily corrected - too much water createth the Swamp of Satan, where the evil root rot, bacterias, insects and larvae doth flourish, and once the swamp is established, it is verily difficult, if not impossible to correcteth. 4) Create the Holy Journal for each groweth, and update religiously. He who not knoweth history is doometh to repeat the mistakes of the past. 5) Learneth thy Holy Nutrient Chart, and believeth in its powers. But: ALWAYS consulteth thy Holy Elders before implementing drastic changeth. This thread is a perfect example of a newbie grower misdiagnosing illness in one of his children, and of receiving gentle correction from the kind and wise Elders. 6) Always end every fifth word or so in "eth." It driveth Pharmgirl nuts. 7) So sayeth the Lord! Peace & Love J.H.C. |

I know this is old news but I just thought... could a cat have peed in it?
