Strange Cutting Problem swollen stems

Hi all, i have a problem with my cuttings (clones), ive been rooting cuttings fine for many years in rockwool cubes and usually get 90 to 100% stick rate but recently something strange has been happening. The cuttings root and roots start growing but the rest of plant grows very very slowly, stunted, and the stems become swollen after they root. The swollen area of stem is sometimes upto 5cm up from cube, i just havent a clue what is causing the stem to become swollen which is obviously preventing the rest of plant from taking up nutrients. I have not changed my environment or my cutting technique and thus cannot work this out , any help would be much appreicated,
thanks,
char1ce

It`s outside my experience I`m afraid. If you post pictures someone else may be able to help.

The Lord not knoweth your problem... but if you put those same symptoms on say, a cut human finger, I'd guess bacterial infection.

Maybe your cloning gel is contaminated?

Best of luck and Peace and Love

After dipping your clones into rooting powder or gel make sure you spray the medium(Soil or Wool) with a fungacide before you insert clone. You have a contamination transference problem and your plants are being infected. Sterilize your gear and use a fungicide and there should be no further problems.
