raise ph
I'm using RO water in my soil grow gang and its coming outta my filter at about 4.0-4.1 according to my ph meter,and its calibrated with 7.0 control solution.so its dead on and I need to raise my ph for sure.I've been buying ph up at the pet store but its tough to find and aint cheap.is there anything around the house I can use .I've heard baking soda,but it adds to the hardness of the water also.help I'm out of ph up

Sodium bicarbonate is the ingredient most often used in PH up and is also baking soda. If you buy it as Sodium Bi-carb it's about 2 bucks a pound. If you buy it as PH up it's about 2 bucks an oz.
