fertilizer ?s

I've been trying to grow completely organic indoors with soil. I use fox farm's grow big(6-4-4) for the veg, and fox farm's big bloom(.01-.3-.7) for flowering. I'm not understanding why there would be less phosphurous and potassium in the flowering fertilizer. I've been adding paper ash and soluble seaweed to up the last two numbers. Does this sound like it would be beneficial? Also, I don't see any calcium in the ingredient analysis on the big bloom. I understand that plants use more calcium during flowering. What is a good source of calcium thats readily available to plants?

Yep.

When the vikings invaded Britain they brought Hemp cultivated it all along the coast of scotland using manure and seaweed (kelp) as a feed.

No wonder they had such badass mythology.

As for Calcium, a little, but not much is beneficial, it's pretty rare to see Calcium def. A good source is lime (not hydrated).

.01 means 1 hundreth.
.1 means 1 tenths.
1 tenths is alot more than 1 hundreth.

Its math junk, your flowering fert actually has more phos, and pot. than nit, which is good. As u know.

Thanks for the info guys, I'm definitly gonna try that lime for calcium. Is it readily available for plants or does it have to sit in a compost heap like some organic fertilizer? My main question about the fertilizer N-P-K is why a bloom fertilizer would have less phos. and potash than the veg fertilizer by the same company. the only reason I'm using FOX FARM is cuz high times said they were the best organic. Also does anybody know about using paper ash for a fert? Is there a type of paper that wouldn't have so many toxic chemicals such as bleach? THANX

P.S. You guys are proof that we potheads are a very intelligent group of people, and the pursecution needs to stop.

Hey Head, powdered dolomite lime can be mixed into the soil at mix, a tablespoon per gallon of medium.

Wood ash can be a good source of Calcium as well as other nutrients (lots of K and a fair but of P), though it should be used with some care as it is very alkaline.

Check out these links:
