A limit to the amount of embedded video topics?

When it was first introduced that we could embed videos I was pretty happy about it, people just posted them now and again and only ones worth watching.

These days the forum is riddled with trash topics containing videos not worthy of their own thread, yeah it's easy enough to just not click them but when every other thread is devoted to just a video with no text/substance it makes finding the better threads harder.

So is there any way to limit the amount of embedded videos threads a person can make? I'm sure i'm not alone on this one. thanks.

seconded, or we could focus on the few members who abuse it. im not usually for telling people what to do, but creating so many terrible threads is ruining the forums.

Just as we can't really censor what people say beyond mod deletions.. There can't be caps set on how many videos a user can post..All the mods really can do is to discourage the frequent use of embedded videos or encourage them to go into a place where the members will know without having to click on them that the threads will contain videos as the focal point...

Most members know how to balance their posting habits and are content with not being problematic when it comes to abusing the abilities we have such as video posting, hot linking, giving thanks, etc... But we do have some members who get great pleasure out of pushing the limits until they get attention and are told not to do something...And either the mods need to act quicker to define the rules or must have a punishment that matches the crime that isn't able to be circumvented by seniority...

Yeah I had a feeling it wouldn't be technically possible to limit the amount. I guess it's just down to the mods to realise that the majority are against this sort of thing.

let the market speak for itself. if a video is worthy, people will discuss it and shiz. if it's not, it will more than likely fall down the list and into oblivion until some idiot bumps it a few months later. at worst you see something you don't think is too funny or whatever and you go on to another thread. but maybe one person sees it, it makes them smile, and it makes their day.

How come you wern't like this a few years back? Did something horrible happen in your life that turned you into such an annoying wanker?

Anyway I'll just ignore them for now, or call him a twat everytime he makes a new one, depends on the mood.. Hopefully a mod will read over this thread and do something about it.

This isn't a forum to post the latest funny videos, it's for marijuana discussion. Like I said earlier it's easy to just not click them but they really clutter the boards, if people want to see videos they can easily find them themselves but just keep it off here.

One or two a week is okay but posting up to 10 new useless threads a day is just taking the piss mate. I don't mean this as a personal attack but the board would be a better place if you just wern't here.
