I'm simply asking a question here.

Why is it that we don't link online vendors? Is it the legal consequences? Because if it is, what are they? It seems to me that if we merely link to these sites, yahooka is far enough removed to avoid problems. Just curious.

I would imagine the spam is one. Also, by linking the site, YaHooka lends some of its credibility/reputation (if existent) to said sites.

Which sites are you thinking of specifically?
