i totally agree. however, the occasion is RARE that i'd like to see it. the whole "business suit" thing for like...work daily/weekly etc. ick.

i used to sell men's clothing & oftentimes go out to the downtown (mostly college) bars after work with a coworker, and so of course we were always still in our shirts & ties. neither of us ever went the car salesman route, he was a classic buttondown sort of guy & i stuck with muted stripes.. nothing stiff, nothing cheap, nothing flashy.

the reactions were all across the board.. but i can easily say the predominating approach we got was one of major skepticism. jehovah's witnesses, wasps, republicans, christians?
"are you guys from, like, europe?"

in this city anyways, people don't trust young dudes clacking around in leathersoles.

so its casual these days,
