Why Don't You Grow?

There's a ton of people on this site who smoke and buy weed, yet it seems many of you have never even tried to grow a single plant of their own.
Every person on this site should have at least one plant, growing on a window ledge, behind a shed, in an industrial park, wherever.
Is it lack of opportunity, lazyness, or set up problems?
Everyone on GTGH already grows, so I can't ask that question there.
Summer is coming for most of you, and now would be a good time to start thinking about it.

If I had thirty illegal and highly profitable plants in my house that smelled to high heaven then I may just lose my mind

no good-readily accessible- source of good genetics -yet
no startup investment as of right now -ferts, lights, watering systems, etc
location would be trouble-not doing it in this house-but is easily solveable, and not a real setback
so uh, it's mostly just been an issue of missing the window i have at the start of the year, and being too lazy-caught up buying shit, ha to invest in materials throughout the year, and say the same thing year after year.

one day though

i think for a lot of folks, fear trumps laziness.. and unfortunately for many i don't think the fear is at all unreasonable.

Yeah, I'm frankly surprised at some of the people who do grow. Growing weed while your raising a family, for example, is just about the height of irresponsibility. Fear of the consequences is a very legitimate reason imo.

indeed he is.

but you can imagine that a person definitely has to make a huge commitment to keeping things very distant from their day2day life.

You can call me a sheep all you like, but the fact of the matter is that you can be extremely careful and never slip up and still get popped. It happened to me two years ago and it happened with bongo recently. No real rhyme or reason as to why shit went down, just a set of freak circumstances that are completely out of ones control. It's one thing when its misdemeanor small amount charge. It's totally different with a grow setup. You're exposing yourself to major consequences. Thats fine if your young, living alone, and you're not responsible for other people - thats not everyone though. And if you think that being extra careful is good enough to not have to worry, you're lying to yourself.

Bottom line: Is it worth the consequences? The answer is different for everyone.
