Mexico is one of the few countries in the world that screens passengers going into the country as strictly they as they do when coming out.

On your way in, if you say you have nothing to declare they will ask you will press a button and at random a green or red light will turn on. If you get green you go right through without a search, if you get red be prepared to have your bags searched and you might want to consider bringing some lube.

If you declare something, be prepared to use the lube.

Unless you KNOW (not just met or a friend of a friend) someone in Mexico, drugs at this time are a bad idea as it is the military and federal police doing the crackdowns.

When me and friends went to cancun we all brought bud.. A couple did the nuts thing, me and a buddy sealed it up and put it in bottles of shampoo.

No problems.

Also scored bud while down there. Wasn't to great, but did cure the many hangovers we had.

i just got a sack of some bomb white shit and it reeeeeeks like a mofo.

I'm goin to put it in a shampoo bottle in my check-in bag.
I have to do this - jsut cause I have to beat the system, so tell me guys:

Is there any way or reason they might empty the bottle?
Could the scanners/x-rays detect a sack of weed in the shampoo??

Yeah I know I'm reviving a pretty old and gone thread, but I just wanted to give a follow-up report.

I bought some of the best weed I've ever had, and put it in a shampoo bottle. Had no problems getting it there; I just wish I had brought more. i smoked out of a seashell for the first week, then finally got a small stone pipe from some little shop. AFter the sack ran out, it took some effort to find bud, due to being kept on a tight leash by mother dearest. When I finally had a chance, I found these two really chill 40-yr old stoners who spoke 0 english, didn't have a sack, but sold me a joint easily worth $10 for a $1.40, hehe. About a week after that I finally had another oppourtunity and bought a dub-sack from a 4-ft. tall guy. On a scale of 1-10 I'd rate the weed I bought there at about 2.

The trip was pretty badass, besides lacking in mj for most of it. Got to do some cool stuff like roast a bowl on top of an ancient pyramid. It would have been 4x as badass had I not been there with my controlling family, though.

As a final note, Mexico is definitely the butthole of planet Earth, and I'll be sure and take myself somewhere else next time. It was still cool living on the ocean, though. swimming every day and enjoying the heat & sun. There's not much sun where I live, except for two months in the summer.

yeah I realize that, and I went into it with pretty low expectations, (plus i've been there before, when I was 12). These are the reasons it was still a good time - in spite of the knee deep 3rd-world-ness. Just being there in a little town and living in the totally different culture was what made it badass.
