I'm 100% White, and thus a member of the dominant majority class of the US. Where I live, however, I am the minority. At work none of my superiors and few of my colleagues are White. My neighborhood is third generation Mexican, and I'm the only White guy here. My wife and kids are brown as well! At both work and home I speak just as much Spanish as I do English.

People around here have always been friendly to me and treated me fairly; but I know If I were Black or Asian I would not be so lucky. Sadly Hispanics have their racial prejudices just like any other group. I just happen to benefit from a positive stereotype that most people around here have of White people.
