Dude, nobody understands. Other white people are always glad to remark how pale you are to them in comparison if you also fit into this category. It's not the same when other races call compare you to ghosts since you're naturally going to be lighter-skinned than the average hispanic if you're caucasian.

As for being pale, I vowed long ago to, should I ever conceive children, conceive with someone who's genes naturally produce more melanin than my own (the more, the better). For the sake of the children, so that they might enjoy a life with less sun-burn/skin cancer potential than I have.

I agree, Sars, it's a lost cause. I feel proud of my tan when I end up looking healthy, because I worked for it, was careful and thoughtful about how I achieved it. Thus, it is worth the futility (and the protection from particles that damage nuclei of my skin cells).

Haha, short as in not tall. No comment on the length.

I used to dislike being pale and wished I could tan. Now that I never go to the beach and spend most of my day behind a computer under fluorescent lights I don't care. My arms tan and freckle, my shoulders freckle, the rest of me just burns. My face doesn't freckle much, just reddens.
