I am from Arkansas, and I can say that racism is still present in the south. But that bad, no. In my high school there were only a few racists, seeing as a 1/4 of my school were black. Most of the racists in my school got there ass kicked after calling somebody a nigger while I laughed at the redneck. The racism is really strange, some people just act differently around minorities, not so much aggressive...almost scared. I am rambling, but to answer the question, its not THAT bad, but it is there.

I live near atlanta and there are tons of colored people, tons of people who are fine with colored people, and tons of people that do not like people of color. But racism here goes two ways.. the majority of blacks hate whitey.. I also lived in the deep south of georgia and it was about the same. blacks hate on whites and whites hate on blacks and some get along

I only had to watch about 45 seconds of that to tell you, YES!!! But not just in the south it's everywhere.

City dwellers are used to all different races so they dont see it but when you get out yonder where people carry high-powered rifles in the back window of their truck the views on racisim change.

Go spend some time in Kentucky and come back and tell me about racisim.

I couldn't make out any of what that guy said, but I can personally attest to the insane amount of racism in the south. Example: About a year or so ago, I was sitting in a restaurant waiting to be seated. An interracial couple walked in (black guy, white girl). EVERY motherfucker in that restaurant turned to stare, and then proceeded to give some of the nastiest looks possible. It seriously reminded me of something out of a saloon scene on an old western movie. Like the music stops, and everyone stares until one person stands up and informs the bad guy that "We don't like yer kind 'round these parts." I was truly sickened that a couple couldn't even go out for some food without being treated like they had some kind of contagious disease.
