Exactly as Bongy Digital said, the bright blood is not as much a worry. Black or real dark Stools are a major concern or should be. That can often mean internal bleeding, etc. Good Luck.

How's your intake of veggies and similar roughage? If you aren't getting any, that could be a cause as well. Living on a diet of cheese alone, for example, is likely to wreak havoc on your lower GI system.

if it's happening when you take ibuprofen, that could be a sign of an ulcer...some people (myself included) can't take NSAIDs (Advil, Motrin, etc) b/c they have a sensitive GI tract which over time can develop ulcers from said medications. also caffeine can be a major GI killer if consumed in large doses.

go to the doctor. better safe than bloody.

Seriously though, I wouldn't worry too much, as occasionally I see some bright red blood on the toilet paper & the wet-wipes [gotta use wet-wipes too]. But I also have a case of the 'roids every now & then, so I just attribute it to that.

Thanks for the good vibes. I think they're helping because I have some good news for you all. There was no blood the last two times I shat. I don't think I'll go to the doctor, but I won't drink much pop and I'll eat more fiber. I'll let you all know if anything goes wrong.
