Man almost every time I shit there's blood in it. This has been going on on and off for months. Sometimes it goes away but it seems to come back when I drink pop, or more recently when I took ibuprofen. I have no idea why, but then again there was the one time, the first time, when it was very very bad, when it first started, after i took at least 4 or 5 ibuprofens while I was drinking, and fyi you're not supposed to do that because it can cause ulcers. So I think I gave myself ulcers in my ass with ibuprofen and beer. I'm thinking about just quitting pop but I like pop. I quit drinking it a couple times and the blood in the shit stopped, and started again once I drank pop again. I want to be able to drink pop again. It sucks.

You just happen to be in luck since I'm a med student and can give you some helpful advise however I would still go and see a physician to make sure.

Just based on what you said here I would almost certainly say that you indeed have a 'peptic ulcer' which can be caused by Ibuprofen.

Now unfortunately there are very few ways to know for sure and they are all unpleasant to say the least.... likely endoscopy or barium X-Ray would be used.

For now until you see your doctor I suggest staying away from coffee, pop, alcohol all NSAID drugs including Aspirin and Advil.

See your doctor ASAP!!!!

If you don't peptic ulcers can lead to potentially fatal complications like ulcer perforation and gastric obstruction. Both of which may require surgery, with ulcer perforation it requires almost immediate emergency surgery because the fluids from your digestive system leak into your abdominal cavity resulting in peritonitis.

This is not something to be fucked with trust me.

That's the thing you can have a peptic ulcer for weeks, months or years before you experience major complications.

Many people have peptic ulcers and never experience anything to major however still not something to be chanced because things can always take a turn for the worst.

I'm not trying to scare you or anything like that, however because this all started with ibuprofen and booze i wouldn't take the chance.

It could and very well maybe something non-life threatening like small anal fissures caused by hard stools etc as well.

No I don't do anal sex and I wish you wouldn't smile at me like that when you mention anal sex. But it is bright red blood. That's sort of why I didn't panic and go to the doctor right away, because I read that bright red blood means its lower in the intestinal tract and not as dangerous. I'll tell the doctor about it, thanks everyone for reading about the blood in my shit.

As a rule as was said, If it is "Blood" ...as in bright frash looking blood, it is probably Hemroidal blood. Try Docusate Sodium, or add more fiber to your diet. If you are taking any kind of opiate drug this can cause smalll turds to rip your "LOWER UNIT" to shreads and cause rectal bleeding as well. Good luck , and don't lose your GRIPPINS!!! LOL

damn and i was just getting hungry for dinner. but yup as others said if its happening that regularly goto a doc. its happened to me before on a few random occasions and i checked shit out online. i remember some connection with the redness/darkness of the blood being able to clue ya into where the problem is occuring. i think if its bright red its near the exit where darker browner blood means its up more towards your stomach. hope ya get it fixed up man.
