I used to Admin a very successful Medical Marijuana Board - there were two owners and I was the number one admin. We had a meeting of all the moderators of the board, which was pretty cool - we all got on the same page as to how we wanted the board to run and what the boundaries were. A month later one of the owners decides that he wants to fuck one of the mods, and starts to try to date her. Her agenda on moderating became the agenda of the board, and people got PISSED. She ended up stabbing pretty much everyone in the back and is now persona non-grata in that community. Another one of the mods later became an admin and had a 180 degree change of attitude - to the point where HE got shit-canned recently.

Out of the people who were at that meeting only two are still involved with that board (I'm not one of them) and the rest want to kill each other. I know if I see that fucking shitbag-ho I'll probably punch her out, since she pretty much forced me to resign my job.

Oh and the two owners had to go to mediation to have one sell out to the other.

It was a very, very bad scene.

Yeah, when you put faces to screen names, things change dramatically. In my personal case, I'm happier that I've met some peeps IRL, but for the most part, I'd rather stay behind my screen.

BUT if there were a huge party, I'd probably go, just for shits and giggles.

So I guess you could say I'm of two minds, my past experiences haven't been all that great, but that doesn't stop me from wanting new ones.

I think, if we ever do have a YaHookaFest, it would have to be in the US, probably in Colorado (seems like a disproportionately large number of 'Hookans are from there). Maybe in front of the State House?
