After run in with police in three countries, working with a police force for a year, I can honestly say American police are by far the best (that i've delt with).

Let's see if you like what these police forces do:

There is no "Police Brutality" in this liberal democratic country. If you refuse a breathalyzer, they will forcefully take the blood from you. When working with this police force, if a "client" was giving my friend a hard time, he would calmly ask them "Hey can you straighten up this guy for me, cause I can't. He would come back with a few bruises, and a quiet mouth. I have personally been pulled over by them for no reason. All they did was check the registration, which can be checked via Radio call in. Perhaps it's because I have American Forces plates on my car. I have heard horror stories by other MP's who had to stop one Polizei Officer from beating up a preggo after she gave him lip. We were at Oktoberfest and we saw Polizei ripping the interiors of cars apart to look for Oktoberfest mugs.

In Russia, the cops would let drug dogs sit on the side of the roads at ACP (acsess control points) and wait for the dogs to pick up a scent and they would stop cars giving away a scent of drugs . We got our car pulled over and searched for no reason. When I was in Moscow, I got put in the back of a police cruiser becuase my female accomplice was accused of having "a fake registration" to live in her city. Let's not even get into how corrupt Russian police are

In Italy, Everyone at the airport got ignored except for me and my ASIAN Friend. They didn't check my passport but they checked his and asked him "Where are you guys going". Racial Profiling at it's best. It was clear that Pisa had a lot of Asian Immigrants and the Cabinieri was out on the look out.

Honestly, US Cops have very little for rights as a police officers. They need warrants to Search most of the time, they can't beat the shit out of you unless It's warranted. Most Cop departments tell their officers not to Racial Profile, but any good cop will use racial Profiling.

I don't care if they shit rainbows, cops still suck. Our police forces MIGHT be better than other countries' but that doesn't give them a free pass for being freedom supressors.

in general, they were really laid back.
