stupid question about aspirin
so, if I have a headache, and the only pain killer I can find in the house is low dose chewable aspirin, is there any reason I shouldn't take the same amount as would be in a normal dose? I'm assuming yes, since it probably gets to the system faster or something, but really don't have a clue, figured someone in here would know. yeah, i know stupid question, but my head hurts, so help me out.

Bayer Chewable Aspirin may be recommended by a doctor for adult regimen use for recurrent heart attack and stroke prevention. Each Aspirin Regimen Bayer Chewable 81 mg contains one-quarter the dose of a regular strength aspirin. The tablets are chewable for individuals who have difficulty swallowing pills. This product is caffeine-free and sodium-free.
Aspirin is not appropriate for everyone, so be sure to talk to your doctor before you begin or modify an aspirin regimen. Directions drink a full glass of water with each dose adults and children 12 years and over: take 4 to 8 tablets every 4 hours not to exceed 48 tablets in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor children under 12 years: consult a doctor Bayer Children's Chewable Aspirin should be fine.

what is the dose? what does it reccomend on the package?
if it is acetaminophen (like tylenol) you can take 500mg (equivalent to an extra strength tylenol). if it is ibuprofen you can take more but 400mg would probably work for a headache. in theory you could take much more than this but if it not a really serious migraine you should probably just take lower doses. i am not a doctor but i have suffered from share of head pain

thanks guys, i don't have the original box, and whatever directions there were on the bottle have been scratched or something, I was just wondering because it isn't like pills that release a little slower, if that changed the dose or anything. taking 4 of them now, maybe more in a bit if that's not working.
