you heard right.

they are good if you like stews and stewed meats. all the flavors mosh up nicely. other than that they take a ridiculously long time to cook and i cant think of anything other than stews. i fucking hate when you have to wait 7 hours for your meal to be done

Must be an American term. We call those slow cookers, and so does the company apparently.

I always manage to ruin a slow cooker meal.

But my mom used to rock out the crock pot.

Every Sunday before church she'd put the stuff in the thing and by the time we got home the house smelled amazing. 2 hours and one football game later dinner's ready.

I mean roast beef is pretty good, but the tomatoes and potatoes just get all soggy and crunchy and soft at the sametime. It's not something I would have on a regular basis.

damn right.

my favorite is barbecue brisket slow cooked, it's so tender it just falls apart when you eat it.

and yeah any and all kinds of stews and roasts, I've never had a meal I didn't like from a crock pot.

edit- matter of fact it's like a special occasion in my house, when I wake up and smell some kind of delicious meat I know later on in the day we will be bashing on some good slow cooked grub

he thinks that you invented fapfap'ing and is enough of a wanker to apologize for borrowing it.

good call on the pulled pork turm. only debate is whether a butt or shoulder is the better sourcemeat.
