You can only legalise gays marraige if you legalise sex with animals, incest and peadophillia.
gays can go to lawyer and make a legally binding contract that is exactly the same as a marraige contract. most straight people make legal agreements before marraige these days.
In practice there are no laws forbidding them to live together, sleep together and share the life together, the law will protect them if they make a legal agreement.
The court will accept a same sex partner in cases of inheritence, pensions etc.
So if they can live like married, why do they want to be recognised by society?
Homosexuallity should not be main stream, it can be there but under the surface.
I am sick of gays wanting public recognition for being gay. be gay and stay quiet, don't look for a pat on the back and acceptance.
After all if your sick enough to actually enjoy fucking another guy in the ass or enjoy having a dick being rammed in and out of your shitter, then you should keep quiet about it because if we justify gays the next step will be accepting paedophiles.

Why shouldn't gays be accepted?? they should get the same rights we do. It causes no harm shit i think one of my roommates is gay or bi I don't ask I don't care it don't bother me. I know they would be very happy to be accepted at no harm to straight to people. Ask your self why not?

^ aye, homosexuality is not a choice, its physiological caused by hormone inbalance, messed up genetics/ sex chromosomes. transexuals are the most obvious case, these people dont just one day decide they are a member of the opposite sex, their gender is just developmentally fucked up and its not their fault. its kind of sad they have to experience shit their entire life for it and alot of them become drug addict psycopaths because of how they are looked down upon by society

I don't think being gay is a choice, but I don't think its physiological... I am convinced its a 'nurture' things, as opposed to 'nature'. Not that its unnatural, but that environmental conditions make a person more comfortable and attracted to homosexuality and I have nothing against that. But I just don't buy that its in your genes, or hormones or something.

i have to disagree...
the majority of homosexuals arent nurtured or treated with any sort of acceptance at all, in fact they are completely repressed and hide their homosexuality well into adulthood. this is why there are so many stories about gay men with families and wives that one day are found to have a secret gay lover. its because they cant change how they really feel but they have been taught by society to act "straight"
homosexuality is caused by being physiologically attracted to members of the same sex, love is a chemical reaction, it is not learned after birth. like verk said these things can be slightly changed by life experience however at its core homosexuality is not a choice
