rock band 2 for wii and custom dlc songs

anybody else really into this?

the downloads that come out are what really give this game longevity.

every few weeks some awesome new songs that i like come out and the game feels totally new

like just 2 weeks ago they released 5 grateful dead songs and 2 allman bros songs....

ive been playing midnight rider, blue sky, sugar magnolia, casey jones, franklins tower and china cat sunflower over and over and over nonstop for 2 weeks and its so awesome to play songs that i love in real life on rock band.

anyway. i wish theyd release songs more often because some phish and some trey anastasio not to mention about 1,000 other songs would be awesome and well worth the usual 2 dollars to download.

anybody else love these?

they one thing i hope they do with rock band 3 besides make the purchsed songs transferrable is have a setting in online mode where u can search for players who have the same downloaded songs you have- its annoying to try and fail to find someone with the song u wanna play like 10 times.

who else loves rockband? for any system?

those EA guys are fucking geniuses... sell a game at $50, with virtually unlimited updates that someone else will produce at $2 a pop?! this could be the only game they will ever need to make...

oh ya sounds fun

they definately got a good formula down for sure, makes me wonder why they dont exploit it by releasing tons of songs, even indie bands could sell their songs for 50 or 10 wii points and make a ton of money they never would make otherwise and have people listen to their music.

there are so many possibilities with this and other music games. but green day making its own guitar hero or so i heard is starting to ger absurd, no one is gonna buy more than 1 or 2 full complete band kits regardless of how muich they lilke a bands music unless its maybe their favorite band of all time. it would seem far more appropriate to release songs on a generic game like rock band 2- and if they really need to charge 300 points or something, dont expect people to pay 150 bucks to play 4 greenday songs.
