Man of the match? Clint dempsey made a case for it with his defensive contributions as well as the goal but it's obviously tim howard...goalkeeping is going to win the us a world cup one day I swear if we can score at least once per game

I was at the gym while it was on, so I didn't get to see but 5 minutes of it. Is it worth watching the whole game? I know some games are worth watching even after you know the outcome.

netherlands would kill usa.. don't get me wrong or anything, i love the world cup.. but the best soccer tournament is Euro-- not nearly as diluted with shit teams like the US and Australia and shit.
What would be awesome though would be if there was an Americas cup along with Euro, and then the top teams of each could make up the World tourny-- so like Euro, but Brasil and Argentina and stuffs could make it.

soccer peaked in the mid 90s and has been on a steady decline over here, popularity wise, ever since. Not to say that a lot of kids don't play it, but a lot of kids play lacrosse too and that's never gonna be a huge sport. We will win though, after all Airbud is American.

we (australia) got to the 2nd round in the last world cup, almost beat italy to progress further, the local game grew and has sustained that since
we're hoping to do well again next year
i only watch the world cup, the beautiful game

Dempsey beasley donovan are the other really big names with dempsey and beasley being the only ones who have proven themselves to be quality somewhere other than in the concacaf region
