hot sauce works well as a repellant for most mammals. Doesn't seem to work on bugs much though.

anyone with a balcony planter can grow a herb garden its no hard at all just plant your seeds -just spread em out over a little planting pot and water them in
in less than two weeks you can harvest the seedlings and add them to you salad.
just use really clean soil and I suggest planting CHIA SEEDs for SPROUTS
they taste great and look pretty and are really health giving!

it freezes and unfreezes during the winter which helps break down the cellular structure of the plants. It's pretty much just like I said, pick up seaweed off beach, throw on garden, ignore til spring, roto-till.

this year in are vegie garden we put up a nice wire net fence damn rabits and we have about 25 tomato plants a couple variates of tomatoes we have green bell peps, red peps, banana peps, thai chilis, habenors ,scotch bonets dont know why we grow either of them we never use them. We also have calarabi couple varieties of cucs. We had asparagus thats all picked we have 3 20 foot rows of sweet corn. Green beans. wax beans snow peas. Let me think for a second we have more. We have a couple different root vegies including carrots potatoes and yams. Also about 5 different squashes. Nothin better then some home grown squash/ zuchini that you grill up or back with butter and a little brown suga. We have multiple different herbs parslet basil dill many other and my old man also has 5 plants of the good herb that seem to be very healthy right now thats mostly for a friend of his and a little for him and a little for me. Everything is all organic to
All in all are garden is done great this year the bug infestation seems to be down and with the new fence the rabits cant get in and rape are food. I love vegetables even store bout but nothing taste like some HG vegies i dont really no if they taste all that much better or if its just the satisfaction that you did it your self. The corn we grow is by far the best sweet corn i have ever had in my life taste like somebody dipped it in some sugar.
My mother also has her women garden with all her roses tulips and all that shit but i cant eat that so i let her deal with it.
more organic farming/gardens is gonna make everything better i suggest you all do it to the extent you can if you dont have the space get some of those window tomato hanges and some cuc climber things.
Good thread man i can take about gardening all day one of the msot satisfying things i do in my free time.
PS im not a hick/ rednecks im a thug LOL

I'm looking for good high-bush blueberry stock. Hard to get the buggers to grow from seed though and all the plants wild round here are low bush. I think I might have to go to Baxter State Park and liberate a few clippings. Also huckleberries are bomb.

dude, you have no idea, one of the squash beds at the farm is growing basically, out of the compost pile, the vines have grown up to the top of a 10 foot tree that's agacent and the leaves are about the size of pizzas. just plant your squashes in the compost pile and you'll be good.
